Rogue Adventure is a 'deck builder roguelike' cleanly styled after Slay the Spire. Players crawl their way through a dungeon teeming with enemies and treasure. Your final objective? Destroy the evil boss that's awaiting you at the end of the tunnel.
One of the main elements in Rogue Adventure is how your deck is built. Starting out with a basic series of cards, including a couple of attacks and defense elements, it's up to you to make your way through the dungeon. Win during combat and you'll come out unscathed and with new cards as rewards. Likewise, from time to time you'll need to throw out the weaker cards in your deck.
Combat systems in Rogue Adventure are identical to Slay the Spire and other spin-off games. When it's your turn keep in mind that you only have 3 mana points and each card costs you a bit of mana, so you'll need to deal them out strategically. Meanwhile, you can preemptively respond to your enemies next turn alignment to gain the upperhand.
Rogue Adventure is a good 'deck builder roguelike' without much need for jaw-dropping graphics. But it offers players a satisfying experience, particularly to those who are already familiar with this genre. All in all, it's a fun game with relatively complex mechanics.
